Red Velvet Cake

INREDIENTS:

METHOD:

  • Preheat oven to 180c
  • Mix egg, water and Cake Mix using an electric mixer with a whisk attackment. Whisk on low for 1 minute. Scrape bowl and mis on high speed for 5 minuites. Continue on medium speed for a further 2 minutes.
  • Blend buttermilk , cocoa, and food colouring with prepared cake batter for an extra minute.
  • Deposit mixture into a lightly greased tin of your chocice. 
  • Bake at 180 c for 25 - 30 minutes.
  • Remove cake and allow to cool.
  • Place cream cheese and icing sugar in a mixing bowl and beat with a paddle until smooth.
  • Microwave mixture for 30 seconds at a time until a pourable consistency is achived.
  • Pour evenly over the cake and allow to flow down the sides.
